Minister of Sports Congratulates Egypt’s ESports National Team on Winning the Arab League

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, contacted the Egyptian Esports National Team to congratulate them on winning the Arab League title, which was held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, from September 1 to 2, 2022.

The national Esports National Team won the Arab League title for the first time in its history in the game “Valorant,” defeating its Saudi counterpart 2-1 in the final match in an exciting three-hour match, during which they received praise from the fans present at Riyadh Boulevard.

The Minister of Youth and Sports congratulated the Egyptian national team on their outstanding performance and historic achievement, stressing that esports in Egypt is witnessing significant development. He promised to honor the team upon their return to Egypt. The final match was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, President of the Saudi and Arab Federations for Electronic Sports, Jordanian Prince Omar bin Faisal, Hisham Al-Taher, Secretary-General of the Arab Federation, Sherif Abdel Baqi, President of the Egyptian Federation and Vice President of the Arab Federation, heads of Arab federations from 22 countries, Omnia Yahya, member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Federation and head of the women’s national team delegation, and Mohamed Warda, member of the Board of Directors of the Federation and head of the Egyptian men’s national team delegation to the tournament.
