Details of the Ramadan e-Gaming Tournament

The Egyptian E-Sports Federation organized the Ramadan online FIFA tournament under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports.

The tournament was part of a number of recreational tournaments that took into account the social distancing imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. It served as a preparatory event for the summer season and its various tournaments.

Sherif Abdel Baqi, President of the Federation, confirmed that the tournament was organized through the AFG electronic platform, with symbolic prizes of up to EGP 11,500, along with cups, medals, and certificates of appreciation for the top finishers. The tournament allowed them to enter the qualifiers for the official tournaments. The organizing company volunteered to host a companion tournament in Call of Duty to meet the desires of a significant number of players.

Over 1,200 players participated in the Ramadan tournament, including most of the top ranked players. The qualifiers were held in two stages, with the first being online FIFA 1. The offline stage then began with the 32nd round, in collaboration with 306 Street in the Sheraton area, sponsored by the Tahya Misr Fund, which aims to promote various youth projects.
