Electronic Games Festivals in 20 Clubs Under the Sponsorship of the Minister of Sports

The Egyptian Electronic Games Federation announced the organization of electronic football festivals under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and in cooperation with a number of popular Egyptian clubs. This comes on the occasion of the resumption of activity and in light of the ongoing coexistence with the COVID-19 pandemic, in accordance with a set of precautionary measures and controls.

The summer festivals fulfill the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ vision of achieving greater cooperation between the Electronic Games Federation and Egyptian clubs, encouraging them to form committees and teams for digital sports, which have captured the interest of youth worldwide. They also aim to promote the tournaments and activities organized and supervised by the Federation during the coming period.

The Electronic Games Federation is scheduled to announce its summer plan next week, which will be implemented in cooperation with the Egyptian Federation of Universities and 21st Century Clubs and the Egyptian Federation of Youth Centers. The clubs nominated to participate in this festival, which have previously cooperated with the federation in previous years, are El-Nadi, El-Sayed, Al-Ahly, Zamalek, El-Gezira, El-Tersana, El-Zohour, October, Sheikh Zayed, El-Elamyeen, El-Shams, Heliopolis, Cairo, Hadayek El-Ahram, Maadi, El-Tawfikia, El-Sharkia, and five clubs in Alexandria. During the competitions, all precautionary measures will be adhered to to preserve the health and safety of the players. Supervision of the festivals has been assigned to a committee consisting of Eng. Abdullah Gamal, Head of the Competitions Committee, Mohamed Warda, Omnia Yahya, and Rana Abdel Rahman.
